The series is based on the comic mini-series published by IDW Comics in 2014 and created by JC De La Torre. IDW currently owns the comic publishing rights to the first series. We own all other rights to the series, the ability to turn it into a tv series or movie, and all merchandising.

In the original comic series, Darien was a 14-year old boy who discovers he is the key to an ancient battle between alien magical races. Whisked away to a new, strange world, Darien meets new friends and faces his evil older brother Orasmas in a battle to save the galaxy.

JC and Rita De La Torre have written this new series, taking up four years after Darien’s defeat of the evil Orasmas. Eridu encounters a new threat while assisting some new allies, the Medeltidens. Spanning across the galaxy and all the way back home on Earth, Darien must figure out a way to defeat the new enemy, handle his growing feelings for Tirwa, and deal with the betrayal of one of his closest friends.

Other facts about this project:

• Scripts for ten 20-25 minute in length episodes are completed.
• There are 38 speaking roles in this season (auditions are ongoing and casting announcements will be forthcoming).
• Character models for the major characters have been completed.
• Animation and Production will use Unreal Engine as the animation source, along with other products from Reallusion, Daz3d.
• This will be a streaming release but currently an independent production. A final streaming home will be announced at a later date.

Ron is a voice actor based out of Toronto, Canada. A first-generation Chinese immigrant from a very young age, he learned English by watching Blues Clues, Pokemon, and whatever else was on TV. He is a tabletop RPG GM of many years and a huge fan of Animation (Anime & Western alike). His vocal range spans from mid-Baritone to mid-Tenor. Josh Horning is a genuine fan of Star Mage, having read (and re-read) it since the age of 14. When the opportunity came to audition for the role of Darien, Josh was more than ready to give it his all. His excitement at bringing his favorite character to life is a true honor. In addition to his voice-over work, Josh is an avid singer and actor and is a recent graduate of “high school” where he was a member of the school senate, beta club, environmental club, and various other extracurricular activities.

A military brat originally from Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, well-rounded Latina actress Marisol Robles has broadened her artistic career and love for being in front and in back of the camera in Central Florida, recently wrapping a second season leading the local extras casting for the OWN scripted television series David Makes Man. Marisol first discovered her passion for performing in the 7th grade during her participation in the musical “Grease “and singing in the French choir. She later stumbled into the Antilles High School show choir after a last-minute, ill-prepared attempt at a talent show tryout that did not grant access as a participant, but led to the development of her powerful vocal potential singing in English and Spanish.

At first reluctant to stay in Puerto Rico for her college years due to language comfortability and personal growth, Marisol continued her stage studies at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón (USC), learning from accomplished Puerto Rican artists such as Myrna Casas, José “Rocky” Venegas, Iván Olmo, Elia Enid Cadilla and Maritza Pérez. Marisol became one of the members to reopen the Casa Abierta theater association and performed in various plays in Spanish with some student film projects on the side. Always looking for an adventure, new skill, or challenge, Marisol studied Mandarin Chinese and pursued 3 jobs during her double major studies, one of them starting her journey as a filmmaker/photographer for the independent film company BlueFace Productions (now Envision Media). She graduated Magna cum laude from USC with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theater and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.

Since moving to Central Florida, Marisol has worked as a principal actor in regional and national commercials and industrials with companies the likes of Advent Health, Tropicana, Bank of America, Tampa General Hospital, and Universal Studios. Her accolades include winning second place in the 2016 Comedy Zone Talent Search in San Juan, Puerto Rico; All Star Cast Member for her performance in the play Love, Loss and What I Wore (Winter Haven, FL 2018); and the Best Ensemble and Murray Award for Best Show, Left for the same play performed in Winter Haven and Kissimmee, FL (2018).

Marisol has worked on numerous short and feature indie films and has studied with Orlando-based coaches like Shauna Bartel, Lauren O’Quinn, Jordan Woods-Robinson and Rus Blackwell. She is represented by 22Talent and is currently training with actor-coach Chris Greene.

Marisol is a lover of food (especially chocolate) and travel adventures, enjoys Facetime dates with her boyfriend Joey, loves loving on her dog Paprika until she is annoyed and practices boxing.

Manny Silveira got his start performing comedy in San Francisco coffeehouses. A one-time radio personality and veteran improviser, Manny was a regular performer with the Fun Sized Improv troupe in Phoenix, Arizona, and has studied with Second City and the Upright Citizens Brigade. Manny appeared in “Punchcard Player” with Diane Franklin (“Better Off Dead”) and his latest project was the film “Moving Ashley” which won a New York International Film Award. He lives in Las Vegas.

Jim Horning was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Dorothy Murray and Jerry Horning. As the youngest of four children, Jim spent most of his life between both New Jersey and Florida. No surprise to family or friends, Jim knew he would be an actor from the young age of five and could often be found creating and practicing his own scripts or acting out entire pieces while playing every character.

Interestingly enough, music caused a bit of a detour as Jim’s classically trained bass/baritone allowed for him to perform his original material at festivals and shows in the late 90s and early 2000s. Turning his attention once again toward acting, Jim began to find increased work in modeling which eventually led to his being in front of the camera.

With his unique look (due in part to a mixed heritage including Irish, Scottish, Italian and American Indian) Jim is often cast in very diverse and varying roles. Be sure to look for meaningful and intense work from this very unique talent.

Her voice has been featured in video games, animation projects, E-learnings, and visual motion novels. Future projects she’s excited to work on are audiobooks, toys, podcasts, and broadcast commercials. Her home studio is equipped with broadcast quality mics, mixers, and preamps and she also has access to a commercial recording studio. She began her VO work for Hewlett Packard internally for over ten years consisting of E- learnings and explainer videos.

Bryan Green is a 34 year old Voice Actor, Content Creator and Rapper who has adopted the “Jack of All Trades” approach throughout his 4 year voice acting career. Bryan hopes to blend his experiences as both a Black and Native American (Acjachemen) man with his desire to help aid in minority representation in the voice acting community. With audio recording experience ranging over a decade and a half, Bryan taps into all of the skills he’s learned as a podcaster, streamer, and broadcaster to deliver to his clients a sound of familiarity with a hint of uniqueness.

Growing up, Tom Antonellis was a jack-of-all-arts (illustration, magic, acting, theater, stage design) and since college: stand-up comedy, voiceover (including the niche skill of voicematching as well as dialect coach). Together with his sister Julee Antonellis, he’s co-host of the hilarious and heartfelt “Back Through The Basement” podcast.

As a VO artist, Tom runs a very full gamut: animation, radio, TV, film, audiobooks, looping, ADR, voicematching, narration, comedy, improv, dubbing, legalese, trailers, apps, commercials, narrative podcasts, non-narrative podcasts, yes — even singing. Clients and credits include Marvel, Disney, The Boston Celtics, NASCAR of New England, Penguin Random House, Audible, Arthur Murray Dance Studios, TriCalm itch cream, The Tombras Group.
